Depositing assets into a sub-account is an important step in participating in the lending and borrowing process on Mirai. By depositing assets, users can supply assets to other borrowers on the platform, and in turn, earn the Supply APY for that asset. Additionally, depositing assets is a requirement for borrowing on Mirai, as the assets deposited are used as collateral for the borrowed assets. In other words, depositing into a Mirai sub-account enables users to not only earn interest on their assets, but also access borrowing and leveraged trading opportunities.
